Benjamin Winship is the owner and principal architect of Winship/Workshop, a multidisciplinary studio working across architecture, artwork, and objects. The practice is rooted in careful attention, material clarity, and the quiet presence of repetition—exploring how subtle shifts in form and craft can shape the way we live.

Benjamin is a licensed architect (Washington, Minnesota) with experience in residential, hospitality, cultural, and adaptive reuse projects. Before establishing the studio, he worked with design offices in Chicago, Miami, Nantucket, and Switzerland - shaping a way of working that balances concept, craft and lived practicality.

The studio’s architectural work focuses on homes and spaces that feel grounded, personal, and lasting - from renovations and additions to small-scale residential developments and accessory dwellings. Each project begins with close listening and unfolds through collaborative dialogue, clarity of intent, and iterative thoughtful design.

Alongside his architectural work, Benjamin creates a series of relief-based artworks exploring rhythm, texture, and the subtle variations that emerge through repetition. These works share the same sensibility as the spaces he designs: a belief that small shifts in form and material can shape how we inhabit and feel a space.
